About Avie

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Avie, a Canadian UGC creator, thru-hiker, and climber based in British Columbia.

I grew up in the mountains around Nelson, British Columbia, where being outside was simply part of everyday life. Before I could walk, my parents were carrying me in a backpack on hiking and camping trips. That early connection to the outdoors grew into a lifelong passion for hiking, climbing, mountaineering, and long-distance backpacking. In 2024, I completed the Pacific Crest Trail solo, walking over 4,000 kilometres from the border of Mexico to Canada.

Alongside my outdoor pursuits, I hold a Bachelor of Social Work. My background in social work has shaped the way I understand the outdoors and the stories I choose to tell. Throughout my studies, I became particularly interested in land-based healing and the relationship between mental health and time spent outside. While outdoor adventure is often portrayed through summit photos and highlight reels, I am equally interested in the quieter conversations that happen behind the scenes.

I also share content around women's hormone health and PMOS (PCOS), drawing from my own lived experience navigating a condition that often feels misunderstood and overlooked. I share honest conversations about hormones, mental wellbeing, movement, nutrition, and the lifestyle changes that have helped me better understand how hormones affect both physical and mental health, and how time outdoors can support overall wellbeing.

As a creator, I am passionate about sharing an honest picture of life in the outdoors, one that celebrates challenge and adventure while also creating space for conversations about mental health, belonging, and what it means to build a meaningful relationship with the land. I create adventurous, grounded, story-driven content across outdoor, travel, wellness, and lifestyle spaces. I prioritize Leave No Trace principles in how I travel and create, and I am intentional about how I share locations. I avoid geotagging sensitive areas unless it supports education and responsible outdoor recreation.

Why Work With Me

ROOTED IN REALEXPERIENCE

Brands work with me because I’m actually out there living it. The content comes from lived experience, not something staged.

Human-First Lens

My background in social work means I focus on connection. I pay attention to the person, the feeling behind the product, and the story that actually connects with people.

I spend a lot of time outside hiking, climbing, kayaking, and exploring. My content comes directly from those experiences, and that’s what makes it feel different.
